How can I become a realtor in California?

I'm moving to California in about 7 months. I'd really like to get my realtor liscense but, I'm not sure how to go about it. I don't have any experience and I'm not liscensed in any state yet. I'm a good sales men and I think I'd be really good at it. What all goes into becoming a realtor in California. I will most likely be living in the San Diego or Orange County area.
You have to take a course, pass a background check and successfully pass the test. This is a tough market to start in, but if you sign up with a good agency that has great training and mentorship, you can do it.
